This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to check if a document has spot colours with a given name. It has four options. If the selected conditions are met, the PDF will be marked as chosen in the "Log" area for further processing:

  • "Check all spot colors": This option checks if there is any spot colour..
  • "Check spot color by name": This option checks for the existence of one spot colour by its exact name. Only one colour can be checked and the string to be checked must be the whole name of a colour, not just a part of it. There is, a checkbox to "Ignore (upper and lower) case" if desired.
  • "Check spot color by regular expression": This option checks for the existence of a string specified with a regular expression (Regexp). To succeed, the existence of one colour that matches the string searched for it's enough. If there are many, all of them will be taken into account.

Warning: The report does not specify which individual colours have been found.

  • "Check spot color by name from list": This option checks for the existence of spot colours from a list.

Check spot color by name with Enfocus PitStop.

Each name must be on its own line and, as in the second option, the name must be the exact name of the colour to be checked. The condition will be met even if not all colours of the list are present in the document. In this option, there is also a checkbox to "Ignore (upper and lower) case" if desired.

In the second and fourth options, it is possible to capture the name of a colour present in the active document using the "Eyedropper" (to chose the "stroke" or "fill" of an object selected in the inspector while building the action list) or with the "Selector" of named colours (swatches).
