This Enfocus PitStop command allows us to remap all PANTONE colours in a document to the naming conventions, colour values and alternative colour spaces in the chosen PANTONE target catalogue.

In this way, we can modify the PANTONE colour names in a document to update them according to the modern catalogues.

Remap all PANTONE Colours.

This command only changes those colours that may be candidates for a PANTONE catalogue and only if it finds an equivalent candidate in the target catalogue. Source spot colours that are not considered as possible candidates are completely ignored.

If two source colours are candidates for the same target colour, they are merged into one colour, although the document may need to be saved and reopened for Acrobat to pick up these changes (merging the separations into one).

If we have marked "Log" to collect the results, the command will inform of what it has been able to do and when it has not found target candidates (for example, by trying to reassign a document with fluorescent colours to a catalogue of metallic colours).

Warning: This command not only updates the names and changes to the alternative colour space used in the target catalogue, it also remaps the colour chroma values to those stored in the catalogue, so it is easy for this second reading of PANTONE colours to change the appearance of the document.

All catalogues offered as possible targets are reasonably modern. No catalogues that are already outdated are offered.
